The prehistoric archaeology of eastern Suffolk: new insights from developer-led archaeology

Over the past five years, eastern Suffolk has witnessed an unprecedented increase of developer-led archaeological projects, including very large-scale excavations undertaken ahead of major infrastructure works.

 This talk will focus on the prehistoric remains uncovered by projects carried out by Oxford Archaeology and Oxford Cotswolds Archaeology - providing a landscape-scale perspective on prehistoric settlement and land use in the area, as well as considering the potential it has to contribute to wider understandings of the prehistoric archaeology of the region.
